Broker's Comments
The Rustler 42 is a classic yacht which combines traditional style and yet spacious and practical, plus of course superb build quality.
Her cruising layout results in a live aboard yacht that has stability and elegance and easy to handle with the cutter rig.
The Rustler 42 is an ideal blue-water below the waterline - it has a deep canoe body, long fin keel and a large skeg hung rudder. This gives excellent attributes such as directional stability, stiffness and good load carrying ability.
Below decks, the Rustler 42 features a spacious, open plan saloon designed with style for comfort. The large beautifully finished saloon table can comfortably seat eight. There is a lot of storage within lockers, behind seating areas, bookcases, a bottle storage and lee cloths fitted as standard.
A forward facing chart table easily takes a folded admiralty chart plus the usual aids to navigation and a customised ship's control panel.
The spacious aft cabin has standing headroom, a full-width double berth and plenty of storage within lockers and a vanity unit with seat. The aft head incorporates a shower unit and a wet locker. At the forepeak the grand master cabin has a 6 ft 6 in double v berth. With plenty of storage and an ensuite in the cabin ensures comfort.
This example had many upgrades before doing ARC 2025 including new sails and safety equipment. It also comes with Genset and water maker, a great addition to blue-water, long distance live board cruising.
The owners have had the 42 for 14 years and kept up to date with maintenance.
