Broker's Comments
Rustler 31 – Proven Offshore Capability with Classic Appeal
Boatshed Cornwall are delighted to present this Rustler 31, a highly regarded cruising yacht known for her impressive sailing performance and offshore capability.
These yachts have earned an excellent reputation for their seakeeping, reliability and reassuring handling across a wide range of conditions.
Under sail, the Rustler 31 offers a rewarding balance of performance and stability, with a respectable turn of speed when required. Below decks, she provides comfortable accommodation with good headroom and benefits from a recently installed galley, making her well suited to extended cruising.
This particular example is fitted with a wind vane self-steering system – a valuable addition for longer passages and an excellent aid for short-handed or single-handed sailing.
The current owner has held the vessel for approximately four years and had intended to carry out a programme of ongoing improvements, including cosmetic works to the deck. Sadly, due to health reasons, the decision has been made to offer her for sale.
Whilst she would benefit from some cosmetic attention – including headlining work and a refresh to the deck paint – she appears to present well overall for her age.
Additional points of note include:
Hull previously professionally stripped and epoxied as a preventative measure against osmosis
Engine hours estimated based on historic records, as the hour meter is currently inoperative
For those seeking a capable, go-anywhere cruising yacht with a strong pedigree, the Rustler 31 remains a compelling choice.
