Broker's Comments

This is a Halmatic 30 MkII cutter rig.
She comes to the market appearing to be in nice tidy condition and has benefitted from various upgrades over the years the biggest is the Beta engine fitted in 2014. Please see below excellent knowledge of the boat from the owner.

Owner comments:

This Halmatic 30 MkII cutter-rigged yacht is a well-regarded and capable cruiser, known for her robust construction and reassuring seakeeping. With her classic lines and practical configuration, she is ideally suited to coastal cruising and short-handed sailing.

The cutter rig, with both headsails on roller furling systems, provides a highly versatile and easily managed sail plan, allowing the boat to be adapted to a wide range of conditions with minimal effort.

She presents in tidy condition and has benefitted from a number of thoughtful upgrades over the years. A key improvement is the Beta 20 engine, gearbox and propeller fitted in 2014, offering reliable and efficient motoring. She is also equipped with an autopilot, recently used on a passage from Fowey to Portsmouth, supporting comfortable short-handed cruising. More recent additions include upgraded battery capacity and a modern solar setup, enhancing her off-grid capability.

The boat is currently berthed on a highly desirable walk-ashore pontoon with the berth secured until April 2027. There may be potential for this to be transferred to a new owner, subject to agreement with the marina.

There is some localised damage to the forward toe rail, currently under consideration for repair. The galley cooker is currently operating on one hob, and the heating system is not presently in use.

Overall, I feel she represents a well-priced opportunity to acquire a solid and capable cruiser with a good level of equipment and recent upgrades, offering excellent potential for enjoyable coastal and blue water sailing.

Recent additions (2025):

2 x 130Ah leisure batteries (dual purpose, maintenance free, calcium technology)
1 x new 12V engine battery
ECO-WORTHY 195W bifacial solar panel
MPPT solar charge controller

Upgrades in previous ownership:

Digital Yacht AIT 5000 Class B+ AIS transponder (2023)
Raymarine i70 instrumentation pack (2022)
Boarding ladder (2022)
